FS: A/V Modded 7800, 2 joysticks, 1 custom control pad, Cuttle Cart 2 $750

Recommended Posts

I need to raise some money to pay for my backpacking expenses for my recent trip to the Ozarks and my upcoming trip to Yellowstone. I haven't been playing as many video games as I used to, especially the older systems, so this has to go. It's a package deal. I realize everyone probably just wants the Cuttle Cart 2, but you've got to take it all.

The Cuttle Cart 2 I bought used from a forum member at some point. It has worked flawlessly with no issues ever. It also has a MMC card with it.

The 7800 system was purchased from a forum member or an eBay member, I can't remember which. It also works without issue. I had the 7800 modded by Longhorn Engineer. It has composite video and audio outputs. It's nice. It also has 2 7800 joysticks and an AC adapter.

The 7800 control pad is one of the ones that doubledownon11 made. It has the nice plastic case and all.

I'm looking for $750 shipped and insured with signature confirmation for the whole package. If you feel like taking the Cuttle Cart 2 alone, the price will also be $750 shipped as well. I can take payment via Paypal or money order. (The price will be around $850 shipped and insured via Express Mail with payment via International Money Order and customs value declared accurately for any out of country buyers that are interested. It may or may not be worth your while with the US dollar tanking the way it is.) The price may seem a bit high, but I think it is fair. All these items for sale are hard to find at this point.

What's the console worth by itself?

The last one I sold was modded with:

A/V

S-Video

Blue LED

"Intro Skip" BIOS

Asteroids Console Rom

complete with 2 controllers, box, manual, and a few games and I believe I sold it for a little over $200.00. Granted that was a while ago.

Woah! I just noticed your asking price is $750! Hope you don't need the money that bad because I would be suprised if it sold ;)

Longhorn Engineer only charges like $80 for a 7800 system with an A/V upgrade

Cuttle Cart 2 is worth $350 at the absolute most

Your controller would have to be worth about $300 to make this deal worth it, unless I am totally missing something and in that case I am sorry but I think you are asking way too much...

My price is fine. If you can find a Cuttle Cart 2 for sale for $350 right now, by all means buy one. But I highly doubt anyone is selling one at that price.

I'm sure glad I bought my CC2 a few years back when they were still being made, even thought it continutes to sit in the box never used.

No offense here, but putting aside the 7800 (for the very reasonable price of 80$ mentioned above), with an amount of 670$ you can buy a hell of a kickass original cartridge collection for it, which will definitelly look awesome in any library you put it.

I can justify a reasonable price for a cuttle cart, but anything beyond that is just not worth it. Good luck with your sale though.

It'll be going to eBay eventually. It'll sell for more than $350.
My 2 cents worth, list them seperately. The last CC2 on ebay went for $420 and I'm sure there are those that would pay decent money for a nicely modded 7800 on it's own as well, and if you work it right, I'm sure the controller will sell for more than the $50 you paid DD for it. :)

There is no way a cuttle cart 2 will sell for only $350. I was fortunate to buy one off of the OP for $400 and there is always a bidding frenzy on ebay. This is a great deal if you want a ready made, ultimate setup instead of getting everything setup.

Just my opinion, but I can't agree that $400 or more for a multi cart that was pretty expensive at $200 just a couple of years ago is a great deal. No other multicart for any other system was ever as expensive as the CC2. Most other comparable multicarts are well under $150. It also sounds like at least 2 members here are having issues with broken MMC slots, adding that to the fact that it uses an obsolete memory card format. Personally I pray for the day that someone comes up with a substitute for the CC2.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a dick about your selling price, I'm sure you will get it. It's just sad that something that was designed to be enjoyed was bought up by people as collectors items to profit from later. :(

It's a free market and he can ask for whatever he wants. If no takes it, then he may adjust the sales price or put it on Ebay.

I agree. It will either sell or it won't. Either way he can charge whatever he wants.

Let's see:

CC2: $420

A/V 7800: $110

NES pad: $50

S&H: ~$20

Getting two working sticks... priceless.

(or $150)
