Picked up some cheap HD disks...

I just bought a stack of HD-DVDs at CircuitCity for half price. They were going fast!

I also ordered a couple from J&R Music world that were on sale. The two I ordered were back ordered though.

Much to my surprise my back ordered HD-DVDs were substituted with the Blue Ray versions!

Great... now I gotta hurry up and install that Blue Ray drive in my HTPC! LOL

 

The HD-DVDs are:

Lethal Weapon, Backdraft, Batman Begins, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and

300.

 

The Blue Ray disks are:

3:10 to Yuma, Good Luck Chuck

 

Not bad for under $140 total

I snagged Enter the Dragon for $12 and Heroes Series 1 for $45

Don't forget Blockbuster stores that rented them are selling them off 2 for $20 used. I grabbed 20 of those last week. Yesterday I hit Circuit City too for their sale. I grabbed American Gangster, Casino, The Dirty Dozen, Evan Almighty, Mission Impossible and The Scorpion King for $87. I believe this is the last week Circuit City is selling them.

 

The HD DVD "fire sale" is on more or less.

Dang, I would have bought The Dirty Dozen but they didn't have it at my local store. I already have the DVD though so no big deal.

I noticed this weekend that my local Best Buy pulled all the HD DVD players and discs off the shelves. Headed off to discount/overstock type stores no doubt.

That's exactly what the guys at the local Best Buy told me when I asked them where their HD-DVDs went to. You may want to start hitting the local Big Lots!.....

hddvd's are great, sale on amazon is getting out of stock pretty quickly, and no wonder - those prices are cheaper than dvd counterparts hehe.

This post made me check Frys. They sell about 10 movies every week @ $4.99 each. I may have to pick up their current bundle with Heroes season 1, BSG season 1, King Kong, and a 360 player for $49.99.
