GAZA: The Real 16-bit?

Recommended Posts

After learning about a prototype 16-bit called "GAZA" and its features from AHS, I was wondering if it could have beat the competition or would have been a collaboration with Amiga. Any thoughts? Curt?

From all those I've spoken with, Gaza and Sierra were some very high end computer systems. Since they were protos and never made it to production silicon its hard for anyone to guage how good they would've been against the Amiga. Interesting thing about both, they used as an interm OS: CP/M 68K The very same OS that the Tramiels used along with GEM to create their TOS operating System. So it appears Atari already had connections with Digital Research before the Tramiels came along. I'm awaiting details on another high end computer called EVA which was a notebook computer that was being developed. Hope to have more info in the coming months.
