so they've pretty much decided on their formula, and they're going to just start recycling old bands through that game to get people to buy it over and over again? if we're all happy with this now, it won't be for long. I wonder why it takes them so long between releases.

I got sucked into ddr--the last recycled speedreading fad--and they're not going to do it to me again.

It's a shame they didn't have anything for Rock Band. The drum parts would be really easy.

Actually the drumming parts would be HARDER because you'd have to learn to use a foot-pedal drum kit like Rick Allen did.

Well I for one, think playing some Def Leppard will be a lot more fun than having to slog through Lamb of God on Guitar Hero II. Was that supposed to be singing that is happening in this song? I've heard a few more of their songs on Sirius, and I'm still not sure.....

I still don't know why "Pour some Sugar On Me" is like the only song that gets recognized. "Animal" is a wonderful choice for a game, IMO.

 

I still probably won't buy GH4, though.

Photograph gets plenty of recognition too. But PSSOM was such a huge hit it's easy for everything else of theirs to get overshadowed.

I'm very quickly losing any respect I had for Activision. It's obvious they're going to bleed this franchise dry.

Not necessarily. The timing window is so huge, you can drive a truck in it.

 

They were saying they want 4 to be harder than 3. The only thing I can think of to accomplish that, is to tighten the timings greatly. As in, so tight that you can't squeeze, like you can in 2, and in the case of 3, you can actually double squeeze (You hit star power and hit the note very late, to make the star power last just long enough that you hit the very last note very early, so you get an extra 200 points).

 

Now, if they add a perfect/great/good system, that would make it much harder.
