Can these carts be used for homebrewn games ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have lots of Big Bird´s Egg Catch,Cookie Monster Munch and Pick n Pile for ATARI 2600.

These games can´t be sold on ebay (=nobody buys them) so I think I may sell/use them for homebrewn games.

Are these games 4K carts or 8K ?

Pick n Pile has a bigger cartridge than the ATARI games and this one does not fit very well into old ATARI 2600 systems.

There are about 1000 of each of these carts. The Sesame Street games are almost worthless, because there aren´t so many Kids Controllers around and nobody collects these games.

Hmm...well, I've used Glib and Master Builder. Maybe an occassional WaterWorld. Not sure about your carts though. By the way, the boards for MagicCard work great once you rip off the old ROMs.

Hi,

I have lots of Big Bird´s Egg Catch,Cookie Monster Munch and Pick n Pile for ATARI 2600.

These games are PAL versions.I live in Germany and these carts are really worthless here. There are 1000 boxed units of each game available.

Believe it or not : Combat is not so common here.

And Master Builder is quite common here, you´ll find it quite often on flea-markets.

We have different games, games which are common in the US are uncommon are even rare here.

If anyone wants these games, you may buy or trade for them, but here I cannot sell them.

All Sesame Street games are 8K and Pick'n Pile is 16K and all use the standard Atari bankswitching, making it easy to use them for homebrews.

I'll be a son of a gun. I figured it was just someone pulling our legs. I had no idea that these carts were so easy to find in Europe. They're incredibly hard to find over here in the States.

I'll just sit over here and try to remove my foot from my mouth now. Thanks. :ponder:

I have a bunch of Combat I would trade for these games. I don't mind if they are PAL. What do you say? :D

I'd be interested in buying/trading for some of those babies! I don't own any of them.

You could try selling them on eBay UK - Pick 'n' Pile is quite common here but is still selling well & the Sesame Street titles will fetch £5+ when boxed and aren't so common either.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I always offer them as international auctions on ebay.de

Many buyers from all over Europe already have bought these games.

I think these international auctions appear on ebay.com , but I don´t know about ebay.uk.
