The MilkMan #1 Posted April 15, 2008 Anybody give me input on the FF series that are NOT turn based? Or are they all like that? No internet versions please.
Reaperman #2 Posted April 15, 2008 it depends... if you talk to turn based fans, ff's don't even seem really turn based even in 'wait mode.' Bothers me... but ff12 is kind of a decent mix. You pause it a lot to issue commands, but everybody is still on their own timer and attacks on their own if you do nothing. are you looking for pure button-mashing action, or just a real-time battle, or what? aikainnet #3 Posted April 15, 2008 They only attack on their own if you have gambits set for them, otherwise they do nothing. As for Non-Turn-Based Final Fantasy's... There are none?
Tempest #4 Posted April 15, 2008 All the main Final Fantasy games are turn based, but some of the spin offs are more action based. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the GC, Dirge of Cerberus for the PS2, and the new PSP FFVII title (Crisis Core?) are all action based. shadow460 #5 Posted April 16, 2008 The Final Fantasy Adventure is also action based. Can you deal with the Game Boy's "black and white", though?

A Sprite #8 Posted April 20, 2008 The Final Fantasy Adventure is also action based. Can you deal with the Game Boy's "black and white", though? It was remade for GBA as "Sword of Mana" - unfortunately, the soundtrack wasn't updated to match the new visuals.
