Impaler_26 #3 Posted April 26, 2008 Nice! I just played a few rounds, Stay Frosty is a great game!
tremoloman2006 #4 Posted April 26, 2008 Nice page! That title could easily be a homebrew on its own. Who knows... maybe a Stay Frosy 2.0 could be on the horizon?
seemo #5 Posted April 26, 2008 I really like it : it was very interesting to read the making of the game, and I had a lot of fun playing the game on Nathan's TV
Gregory DG #6 Posted April 26, 2008 Wow, I really like it! Especially the character animation! Excellent job!
+SpiceWare #7 Posted April 26, 2008 Thanks all! I've always found reading up on other's history to be insightful and, unlike Medieval Mayhem with the HomeBrew Topic and Blog entries, Stay Frosty was done behind closed doors so I wanted to share. I'm sure I'll have some updates to the development history page, already see some typos and such . I really like it : it was very interesting to read the making of the game, and I had a lot of fun playing the game on Nathan's TV I think the retro TV adds a lot. I was checking out MM Online and thought it would look good with an old TV framing the image. Soon after, Nathan posted another Artie the Atari strip. We're hoping to get Artie in front of the set with working switches to replace the arrows. I also did another JStella test page to confirm that all the switches work(even power!) as SF doesn't use the TV Type or Difficulties.
r_type2600 #8 Posted April 26, 2008 (edited) Pure pleasure, always great to see and play a game with so much attention to detail and charm! I'd really love to see it re-released as a standalone game for the 2008 winter season. Such a full-blown and enjoyable original effort just deserves more exposure than to be hidden in a collection cart. Besides, I believe reading in one of your (or Nathan's) earlier comments that you had to cut some corners due to time pressure. So - that would be the perfect opportunity to revisit the game and fit in those elements and extra levels. What's more, Frosty is quite a character, so he really should get the honor to establish himself in a respectable manner, e.g. on his own cart Wishful thinking, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Well said! If this was released as a seperate cart with the added graphics and levels, I know I'd be first in line for a copy. <crosses fingers also>
