Hopefully this isn't a duplicate topic, but I saw this on WiiFanboy.com...

 

Nintendo 64DD complete for sale.

 

What I found more amusing is that someone offered a measly 100 pounds for it. I'm sorry, but I'd consider that to be an opportunistic jerk trying to take advantage.

 

Too bad for him the guy selling it isn't a total idiot.

Was the Nintendo 64 DD supposed to be Nintendo's big answer to the Sega CD?

 

Looks like a cool little unit though, wonder what it will go for?

Before playasia sold out of em, I bought mine from em for 400... though it didnt come with every single game

It's rare, but kind of worthless unless you speak Japanese. Actually it's mostly worthless even if you do as the RandNet service doesn't even operate anymore. Basically you get a few crappy games with some serious Japanese text issues, and a bunch of art cartridges. The only thing worth playing is the F-Zero expansion pack, but it doesn't work with the US version.

 

Definitely a collectors item only. This bundle should go well over $1000. I believe the second Doshin game was a mail order only deal.

Of sorts. From what I gather it was only sent to those people still subscribed to the RandNET service after it was announced that it was going to stop. This also applies to World Tour Golf. All subscribers got each new piece of software once a month (that was the release schedule) but I think the other seven were also available to purchase in shops.
