NightSprinter #1 Posted May 6, 2008 Ok, so I'm just going to spring for a FamiCom. I'm also going to be acquiring the converter to play the NES games on it, but I don't have any idea what to do regarding some multi-player games that require the second player to pause if it's their turn. I know that I won't be playing BomberMan 2 or Gauntlet II in multi-player mode due to lack of adapter for players 3 and 4, but I want to know what to do about that "second player only can pause their game" deal. Also, I may be later swapping it out for one with an A/V mod a friend has but shrunk the plastic on the video connector by accident. I'll provide pics of those if anyone knows of the parts needed to replace it.

Deal with it or use a NES...not much else you can do really.
Great Hierophant #3 Posted May 12, 2008 You could buy the Famicom AV, which allows you to use standard NES controllers, second pause/select button and all.

Personally, I do not like the AV Famicom; its to much like a NES 101 Toploader; the original Famicom is much sleeker and colored nicely. I use my expansion port with a Hori Tap (or my X-51 which allows me to use USB controllers) to do more than 2 player games.
