jkoolpe #1 Posted May 7, 2008 Hey all! The new CA Extreme website is now posted! Check it out at the same web address as before: http://www.caextreme.org Download the new flyer, check out the preliminary game list, pre-register if you can, vote in the poll, join the forum...it's all there now! Well, except for the hotel discount information which should be posted very soon...we're finalizing those details with the hotels right now so be patient as we expect to get another good rate. I've heard from some of you as to what you can bring (thank you!)...if you see your games missing or you are a new contributor, please let us know so we can add your goodies to the always-growing game list . Be sure to check out the game list as there are more than a few games confirmed for this year's show that I don't think we've ever had before . Also, if you have any ideas for possible talks and/or seminars that you would like to see, let us know and we'll see about possibly making it happen! Here is the official show announcement for your enjoyment : >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> We are very pleased to officially announce the dates for this year's California Extreme Show. It will be held on July 19-20, 2008 at Parkside Hall in San Jose, California. We are working on this year’s lineup of seminars, guest speakers, and other arcade-themed events that make the show so much fun each year. On that note, we are looking to you, the arcade community, for suggestions for topics and speakers. Is there something you would like to see presented (or even to present yourself)? This is your chance to let us know what you would like to see! Send us an e-mail at [email protected] and let us know. We welcome all suggestions and will consider each one carefully. Start making your plans, requesting time off work, making reservations by planes, trains, automobiles, and especially trucks to come out and join us for another crazy, arcade-filled weekend! And be sure to let us know if you're interested in bringing games and/or volunteering to help us out by contacting us at [email protected] Both are most welcome (and can possibly be worth free admission and/or other goodies!). Thanks to all of our previous exhibitors and volunteers. We hope we can count on you again, and if you've never brought games or volunteered before, why not give it a try this year? You'll have a great time! More information and pictures from previous shows can be found at www.caextreme.org. The Extreme Team
+Random Terrain #2 Posted May 7, 2008 If they would start making pinball games that vomited tickets based on your score, pinball games might become popular again. If cheap musty toys soaked in formaldehyde or covered in lead paint is what the public wants, give it to them.
