Rik #1 Posted May 11, 2008 I was going through my carts last night and came upon Apollo Infiltrate.I havent played it for a very long time. This game is a prime example among many others, that gameplay often takes over for lack of eye catching graphics,on the 2600,and this is the game i use as an example. The graphics arent great, but the gameplay, man, this game is fun and addicting.Any others,im sure there are,who like this game alot? black dog #2 Posted May 11, 2008 I agree. This has always been one of my favorite games. The game gets fast paced and challenging pretty fast.

StanJr #4 Posted May 12, 2008 Infiltrate is great! It has its quirks and sometimes the baddies get me when I think they shouldn't be able to, but overall a solid play and usually addictive once you get started.
moycon #5 Posted May 12, 2008 I had it as a kid, but can't says I ever really liked it. Difficulty ramped up to quickly, the game (like StanJr pointed out) was cheap, and it was too repetitive. This was a game that didn't get much play back in the day.
jboypacman #6 Posted May 12, 2008 I had it when i was a youngster and i did not like it then but after picking up a few years back i can say i really enjoy it much more now then i did then.

Chris-in-NJ #8 Posted May 13, 2008 I bought a copy last night, and it's bloody hard! One thing that particularly annoys me is if you shoot a spy, its replacement may appear in the exact same place before you've had a chance to move away, costing you a life. I don't think I've managed to get the extra life more than once in the twenty or so times I've played it.
slosu #9 Posted May 14, 2008 I liked it but thought Fast Eddie was better. Steve http://www.xanga.com/Atari_Man
+Random Terrain #10 Posted May 15, 2008 I got it cheap in 1983 or 1984 and although I didn't feel like it was the waste of money that so many other games were, I quickly got tired of it. Just going to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom, then back to the top, then back to the bottom made it feel like an unfinished game. I liked using the elevators, but couldn't they give us at least one more thing to do or maybe another screen where the gameplay is a little different and you have to deliver the secret documents to someone? This was the exact problem I had with the game. I kept waiting for something else that never came. Then while trying to get to whatever was next, every now and again an enemy from seeminly halfway across the screen would kill me. Unfinished sums the game up. It wasnt a game that got much play I remember that about Infiltrate.
jboypacman #12 Posted May 15, 2008 Fast Eddie is a blast to play too.
Rik #13 Posted May 15, 2008 Another game that is repetitive but folks seem to like alot is Dragonfire, same 2 screens over and over, which i cant seem to get into,I dont feel that for Infiltrate though,i think its the elevators that add that extra touch of challenge. +Random Terrain #14 Posted May 16, 2008 Another game that is repetitive but folks seem to like a lot is Dragonfire, same 2 screens over and over, which I can't seem to get into. I don't feel that for Infiltrate though, I think it's the elevators that add that extra touch of challenge. I get bored with both of them for similar reasons. I dislike Dragonfire more, though. It would be cool if someone made a clone of Infiltrate using batari Basic and tried to make the game more fun. Maybe I should try that as my first finished game? It wouldn't be as colorful and I'm not sure how I'd do the elevators, but it might be fun seeing what I could do.
