What will happen to,or who will get your games?

Man ,i tell ya,from the stuff ive seen lately happen to people i know,the Grim Reaper can come knocking on ones door at ANY time!I wondered if any have thought about who will get your games if you kick the bucket?

I always had that thought in the back of my mind (here & there). I wrote a "Last Will & Testimony" a few years back which said

 

"If due to unfortunate accidents, or un-timely death of Anthony Durso. I here-by allow all my Video Game collectibles, my Novelty Cuckoo clocks, my Cars (Yugo, Honda, & Cadillac) and all other products not mention in this will to be pass on to my younger brother "Frankie Durso" (spartanclone001) as the new current owner & care taker of my collection"

Hmmm hard to say i think i would give it out to my various friends who i know would keep and play them.

Can't imagine my wife, assuming she survives me, wanting to keep it for the kids. My collection fills a bedroom, it would take someone with an appreciation for the hobby to properly auction it. I'd hope a few of my friends who collect would help her with that... ugh sorta depressing. Ideally there would be some museum I could pass it on to but I'm not convinced it would mean much to anyone but me. If you separate the collection from the obsessive traits that built its just a pile of old games, no more meaningful than the back of a gamestop.

My daughter gets them and can do with them as she sees fit. That's assuming my wife doesn't survive me--if she does, she'll be left with the collection and the request stated a second ago. I hope I'll have grandkids who can enjoy them, and I hope my Saturn still works!

my wife has already told me she would sell them, I told her that they would be passed down to my son. But if they are sold, I would haunt them for the rest of their lives and beyond.

Hmmm...

I think I'll take the ancient Egyptian standpoint and say that there are things that I will need in the afterlife. So, this means that at least a couple of my hardcore favorites will come with me, maybe even all of it . Unless I can get my brain implanted in another body by this time. Then I can go on indefinitely.

 

This is of course, provided that I have no offspring at my time of kicking the bucket. Hell, I ain't even thirty yet....I have LOTS of quality game playing time left in life, not taking into account very freak occurrences.

I think my kids already have my collection divided up amongst themselves.

If we are talking about video games all of mine will be donated to classic video game/ arcade galleries don't know which one whoever buries me can figure that one out. All of my other stuff money house cars bank accounts etc will be split between my children and grandchildren
