520ST and an SIO2PC?

Since I can't seem to get my disk drive to work on the 520ST I just got, I was wondering if it would be possible to use an XFormer cable to hook up the 520ST to my SIO2PC and load ST games from my PC. The XFormer cable is here: http://www.aracnet.com/~atari/st_hard.htm
