Atari5200 #2 Posted May 16, 2008 You made your money back just from #1 on your list. Nice Score. I have a pending score from Craigslist, the problem is it's real far away and don't know when I can get to it.

jetset #6 Posted May 16, 2008 Sigh... Everytime I look at Craigslist all I see is "Ultra Rare Combat Cart. $50 OBO" Tempest The ones here in S Florida are LOADED with spam anymore. "I buy your old ATARI systems", and such. I barely look anymore. I'd much prefer the "ultra rare $50 Combat cart". At least that person at one point in the past probably had and played Atari rather than just finding a niche market/hobby and trying to profit from it. Atari5200 #7 Posted May 16, 2008 there's the normal "I buy your old games" things, but there are also the 50 game lot for $25 ads as well, I don't usually bother with them, #1 they are mostly commons and games I already own, and #2, usually to far for me to drive, to the point it would cost me more money in gas. That's the problem I'm facing right now with a Craigslist thing. I found something I want for relatively cheap, at least I think, but it's an hour away. Best thing I've found on Craigslist is my World Series The League CAB, also found 2 cheap MVS goldies but already have a 4 slot so I posted them on Neo-geo.com. shadow460 #9 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) There's a couple of systems on OKC craigslist, and a few games on the tulsa site, but not much else right now. Last week I did land a huge haul from CL. This week I landed one at the swap meet. The week before, I got some decent non Atair deals in various yard sales. *points to phaxda* Thank him--he's the one who started talking about CL. PsychedelicShaman #11 Posted May 20, 2008 Craiglist has been very good to me lately. Picked up a modded gamecube for $50 with controllers and last night I got a Sony PVM-2950Q (29" RGB multisystem tv) for $40. The TV has some burn-in on the top and bottom, but I can't wait to get some RGB systems up and running. Congrats on your find OP:)

TwinChargers #13 Posted September 23, 2008 Wanted to post my latest Craigslist find. Got a box of Atari 2600 games (41 in all) and 5 different controllers all for $10. Yes, a majority of the carts are commons, (2 Combats and 2 Adventures), but I also got a few R3's, R-4's and R-5's. Here's some of the better ones- Gorf, Planet Patrol, Gangster Alley, Adventures of Tron, Tron Deadly Disc, Roc'n Rope, and a Xonox double-ender Chuck Norris Superkicks and Artillery Duel. Not too bad for $10, right?
SRGilbert #14 Posted September 25, 2008 I love Craigslist, I've gotten so many great deals, video game and otherwise. I've sold quite a bit too.
thrax #15 Posted October 9, 2008 I like CL for vintage computer items best. Thrift store's vintage systems are incomplete and untested and ebay costs to much to ship those heavy systems. THe only downside i have personally is that it is not that often the system you want will appear. I also recommend to people using CL to make sure they are getting exactly what they want. Ask tons of questions over phone/email to make sure and use their answers given to you (and attitude) to judge whether the deal/person seems fishy.
