SS #1 Posted August 17, 2002 OK Albert, you promised an explination about the missing Activision ROMS after the CGE. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12066 So what's the scoop? Inquiring minds want to know!
+-^CrossBow^- #2 Posted August 17, 2002 Nothing difinitive...but I heard at the show that Activison sold the rights to the old games to one of the many PDA and phone developers for making cell phone versions of the games. Hence they had to be pulled as Activision didn't own them any more and the new owners plan to use these old roms for developing the versions for the portable phones and PDAs. Again, this is only what I heard at the show...perhaps Albert can shed more light on this?

They may have licensed them for use on PDA's, but I'm sure they have no intention of selling them. We'll explain more in the future when we can. Albert #4 Posted August 17, 2002 While we can't give specifics right now, I can say that we are presently working with Activision on a project and that having a business relationship with Activision precludes us from having their ROMs online. More information about this project will be revealed in the future. ..Al
