Cinemat Monitor question

Recommended Posts

I'm not technical by any means when it comes to the specifics of an arcade machine, so I need someone if possible to explain to me in simple terms. Game is World Series the Season, but I assume this would be the same for any Cinemat monitor.

I do have the owners manual for the game and the moniter, however, I don't understand any of it. I figured out enough how to change the colors to get them perfect as well as the clarity and brightness. What I can't figure out is how to get the screen full picture. See the picture, there's about an inch of black on the left that I don't think is supposed to be there. There are a bunch of metal circular knobs that do something, i think they are horizontal and vertical something but I don't know if they will electrocute me if I touch them or not or if they held power like the suction cup. Any ideas, suggestions or fixes?

Vertical deflection is easy enough to adjust, the retrace on the horizontal width is controlled differently. Read up and understand how the basic system functions and then adapt to your game and see whether you can adjust it or not. Bob has some great stuff on there, also do a search of horizontal width adjustment on RGVAC.
