Warlords, but with better graphics

I seem to remember playing a game like Warlords, but it had better graphics. Anyone remember the name?

There is the homebrew game Medieval Mayhem.

back in the day, the amiga had a great homage game called 'lords of war'

I'm a big fan of 2600 Warlords, and to me none of the fancier versions captures the "mayhem" of four player combat as the 2600 game. The other versions I've played get too busy with multiple fireballs and the control of the fireball doesn't seem as exact.

 

Hard to believe a woman wrote such a vicious four player game.
