ZOMFG years of finding nothing at yardsales and then O3 proto!

at a yard sale today

 

spot an intellivision model i didnt have

 

super pro system

 

so i buy it.

 

guy is like 'yea that has the 16 direction controller' so in the back of my head 'hmmm not a knowledgless tool'

 

i buy it and the 10 inty games he has and a 2600 multi-cart switcher for $6

(thunder castle included.)

 

and hes like 'so you like old stuff?'

 

and im like 'im starting a museum here in town, working on it' (truth)

 

and hes like what systems u have and im like 'yes' and hes like whatu mean 'yes' and im like name something

 

and hes like 'vectrex' and im like got five

 

and hes like ok... i bet ive got something you dont

 

and im like 'try me'

 

and hes like 'odyssey 3'

 

and im like 'whah? o3 never came out but i have uk 7400!'

 

and im like, cool! so he shows me his odyssey 3 proto, with his proto odyssey 3 modem and proto odyssey 3 voice module

 

that he said he'd happily donate to my museum once I finish getting it together

 

and he gave schematics to odyssey game systems and voice modules and other stuff i dont recognize. and an ODYSSEY schematic for a colecovision, and a coleco system that supposed boots up saying 'magnavox' from odysseys labs (this guys dad worked back in the day at magnavox on o2/o3, his dad worked with ralph at once point.)

 

best $6 i ever spent

 

and he had a kc munchkin prototype

 

he gave me the schematics and coleco system for free

 

I plan on scanning them in as soon as I have time.

 

Just wow... had to talk! Something close to this has never happened to me before...

 

(oh, also he also said he had some us o3 proto games that he sent to someone to dump that never returned em. bastardo (the person that never returned them.) If anyone knows anything, I'd like to try to help him get his protos back. The # of people who can dump o3 protos has got to be a short list...)

Scanning the coleco schematics... should have em tommorrow (gotta put all the pics together.)

 

The odyssey system schematic I have is for an Odyssey 3. Is that of any particular use to anyone, as far as emus/etc. goes?
