Gunstar #1 Posted June 5, 2008 It's not a "problem" really, just a real annoyance, and I can't seem to find anything in the manual about it...Anyhow, my question is: Is there a way, when using Degas or Neo pictures for desktop background, to get the desktop to change the color pallette to that of the picture? I can double click on a picture under Neodesk and it shows it with the right colors, but if I rename a picture to "neopic_L.XXX" so it's loaded onto the desktop under the icons, the picture is always displayed with whatever colors are currently saved by the desktop. I can't understand why it doesn't automatically load the proper color pallette with the picture, it manages it when just displaying a picture on the fly...?!? superatarian #2 Posted June 8, 2008 Hello, How many colors are we talking about. I have NeoDesk 4 that I just bought about 1 1/2 years ago and there were no problems for me. I used it along with Geneva on my STe in the 16 color mode. It really depends the icons you use for the desktop. Try using simple graphic icons with hardly any colors and see it that helps, then put the icons back. Of course you may need to upgrade to version 4. Go the Gribnif website and talk to Dan Wilga. He should have an even better answer for you.
