Atari Master #1 Posted August 18, 2002 I just rememberd. A while back I opened up my 2600 and it had an onlp piece of paper taped to the board saying the date it was made and all. What is this about?

Atari Master #3 Posted August 19, 2002 Nope, my uncle gave it to me and it never was repaired in any way. And I think it has some other scribbling in it too.

King Atari #5 Posted August 19, 2002 I've found these papers in some of my 2600's too. One was a common 4-switch woodgrain, the other was a 6-switch woodgrain (not heavy). If I remember right, both had the date of '81. A Vader from '88? Very weird, since I think they were only doing Jr.'s at the time. Maybe they had a few old units left over? Atari Master #6 Posted August 19, 2002 Whoops! I ment 83. April 26, 1983.
CrazyImpmon #7 Posted August 19, 2002 I've seen a number of 2600 with the paper taped inside from the heavy 6 swithcers to the Jrs but maybe 90% of them. The other 10% it may have gotten lost or removed at one time in it's life. I think it may be more than just date, it may be part of the QC
King Atari #8 Posted August 19, 2002 Whoops! I ment 83. April 26, 1983. Well, that's a bit more reasonable .
