Red_Queen
Game.com was a joke when it camed out. I can't beleive people brought it along with these other handhelds. It was even worst then game&watch.
rockman_x_2002
Game.com was a joke when it camed out. I can't beleive people brought it along with these other handhelds. It was even worst then game&watch. I agree the Game.Com was a poor gaming console. I saw the things in stores, and while it did have a few neat ideas, the games that were out there and just the general feel of the thing screamed "cheap Game Boy knock-off." Neat ideas went into the machine, but the whole thing was just botched with shoddy marketing and generall poor effort on the part of Tiger Electronics. Bear in mind, up to this point Tiger's main foray in gaming were those little LCD handheld games. This was the first time they stepped into the handheld ring, and they didn't understand that they were going to have to wrestle with the likes of the Game Boy and the Game Gear. That said, there are some innovations that have been held over from the Game.Com, although I have my doubts that it was because of the Game.Com itself. Integrated microphone (at least, I think I recall the Game.Com having that) and touch screen come to mind, for example.

Red_Queen
Only three those games is playable and none of them have internet access. I wonder if you could send mail still?
Atari5200
Resident Evil 2 isn't half bad, neither is Wheel of Fortune, however, the other games i have, Sonic, Fighters Mega Mix, Indy 500, are terrible.
Video
Actually, it's a fairly common misconception that the Game.com was pure crap. Many of the games were good, great even. The problem was, as said, the machine itself was horribly designed, especially the screen useing a really outdated method of shadeing. Wheel of fortune, Wof2, Jeprody, Henry, Duke Nukem, Resednet Evil, Tiger Casino are all well worth haveing. But eh...it's like anything else, people will blindly diss it and probably never try it anyways.
FastRobPlus
You have to admit, that screen is a bit of a dealbreaker. Even the watara was better.
Atariman
incomplete, where's the 2nd generation game.com? And you have to have ALL of the different colors! (and the one with the backlight!)

Yeah...but thankfully, the Black one is the only one with a backlight (or was when I bought mine)
