TRS-80 Coco 1-2 (And 3) Game in the works...

Recommended Posts

Just an update on my game ;)

Your gona be a block on a text screen.(32x16(?))

Simple blocky game. So far I have made the keyboard routine to move the character (W-Up S-Down A-Left D-Right)

I also have the "Random" routine done.

It will be able to have upto 4 "Asteroids" at one time on a screen, but with a rewrite, can hold MANY more.

The asteroids will be Blue, falling from the top of the screen trying to push you into the white gunk of doom.

Your goal is to get to the top of the screen w/out getting pushed into the white gunk.

It will have 256 Levels,

It will start at level #256.

It will read the keyboard that many times, check if an asteroid will go on the screen, if so, it puts it there, then moves all the asteroids. and on level 1, It reads the keyboard 1 Time, and checks for an asteroid, and then goes to the ast. move prog. I hope you get the point. So the ast. speed will increase godly, probably un-seeable.

So far I have to put in everything but the RND prog and the movement. I`m hoping to have the game finished in 2 hours.

And the best part, I`m 14, and not using EDTASM+ or anything. Pure assembally language, a pen, and a piece of paper :)

After it`s done, I will probably make your dot switch colors, add a level # teller (I don`t wana, though), and put in sound. At the time though, no sound :)

So, wish me luck. It`s 1 AM here, and I am programing away

GDR

(If someone could help w/ sound again, please. I`ve read, and even have the TRS-80 COCO Asm. lang book, and there example confused the crap outta me.)
