flammingcowz #1 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) My light sixer fades the picture in all of my games. Is this because it doesn't have the heavy RF shielding that the heavy sixer does? Here is some pictures I took of my tv screen showing the game running on my light sixer vs my atari flashback 2. It doesn't bother me that much, I've just been wondering about this for a while. flammingcowz #3 Posted June 28, 2008 The places in the circles are where holes were in the RF shielding. What one of these is the color pot? How would I tweak it?
Shawn #4 Posted June 28, 2008 The places in the circles are where holes were in the RF shielding. What one of these is the color pot? How would I tweak it? the one that is laying flat on the board. You can tune it while the ATARI is on, it's safe. Just use a phillips screwdriver and turn it ever so slowly and you will fix your picture.
flammingcowz #5 Posted June 28, 2008 Hmm, that changes the colors, but does nothing about the fading.
tkarner #6 Posted June 28, 2008 It's apples and oranges comparing the picture of a real 2600 with an FB2 because of the FB2's composite output. If you think there's a problem with the 2600 you'll have to compare it with another 2600. Another solution is adjusting the colors on your TV. Many (most?) TVs now allow you to define multiple color settings that you can then select based on what you are viewing. I have one setting for TV and DVD viewing, another for video games using composite input and another for my Atari on the RF input.
