Atari 2600 on mini-series "V"

Recommended Posts

My wife and I are watching the early 80's mini-series "V" on DVD. I saw it way back when, but this is her first time.

Anyway, one of the alien visitors is seen playing Space Invaders on the 2600! Pretty cool.

Man I used to love that show, I haven't seen it since it originally aired on TV. I couldn't tell you one thing about it but I know 20+ years ago it was awesome - lol. I'll have to pick up that DVD set myself and catch up on old times :)

Yep, I loved it back in the day as well. One of my favorites. It wasn't until I watched the DVD's a year or 2 ago that I realized how cheesy it was.

Boy, Faye Grant was hottie!

I loved to watch "V" when it was first aired on TV... what a show :) And I remember the alien playing "space invaders" with his human girlfriend.

There's really nothing very cheesy about the original miniseries. Sure, the second one (The Final Battle) had some cheese. And the weekly series was simply drenched in cheese. :-) But the original mini... just purely awesome.

Anyway to get back to the original post, I always thought having a 'space invader' play Space Invaders (and not be very good at it!) was pretty funny.

I thought that bit was funny too. We are into the "Final Battle" watching phase when Robin FINALLY learns she's carrying some freaky lizard thing in her womb.
