320GB PS2 Hard Drive, Network Adapter, HD Xtreme, 32MB Memory

Recommended Posts

Do you have an old PS2 (you know the big clunky one) that you'd like to play downloaded homebrews and "backups" on? I have what you need.

Up for sale is are the following:

- lightly used 320GB Maxtor hard drive.

- ps2 network adapter - this allows you to install the hard drive right INSIDE your PS2. Just remove the back panel, plug in the drive and screw the network adapter in.

- HD Xtreme Disc

- 32MB Datel Max Memory Card

Everything is very easy to setup and get working. What you will need? Winhiip for Windows. Search Google for it you'll find downloads. You hook the hard drive up to your computer and use Winhiip to format it for the PS2. You can then copy homebrews and "backups" to the hard drive. If you ever have a problem with anything (I had a problem only once) take the hard drive out, put it back in your computer and use Winhiip again. It will fix the drive for you. From Winhiip you can view/delete stuff if you wish, or add more. From Winhiip you can rename games, setup options, etc.

Once the hard drive/network adapter is installed in your PS2, stick in the HD Xtreme disc and turn the system on. Don't press any keys. Once HD Xtreme loads you will be presented with a menu of your homebrews and "backups" to play. Some games require a setting to be set in Winhiip. You can view the list on:

http://www.ps2hd.com/list/

You use Winhiip to set the settings.

Another nice thing about HD Xtreme is you can stick in virtually any PS2 disc and it will rip it to the hard drive.

I've tested lots of games and the ones that didn't work are my Fatal Frame games. They lock up.

I'm asking $55 + shipping from NJ. It should all be small enough to get in a USPS Priority box. I accept PayPal.

Everything is definitely worth it.. I mean the memory card alone I got for $25, the hard drive was around $100, the ps2 network adapter was $20 or $25, and the HD xtreme was $40 and I had to get it shipped from Canada.

I WISH I would have gotten it.

Someone grabbed it before I could. That was a damn good deal and JUST what I was looking for to give the kiddo when he goes back to Washington after the summer break (or I would have kept it, and gave him my modded slim version).

I don't feel too bad though... I just grabbed one hell of a deal on ebay. (Actually three great deals, two this morning and another one last week.)

So I'm over it now. LOL

Heh, I should have posted, but I ran to look for some other things I needed. If I ever put a chip on the fatty, I'll resell them at the same price.

Hey Yuppi, does this setup work well? I have Freeloader and it skips on movies. I need to upgrade. Any info on where you got the program would be great, as well as info on how well it works vs others like it.

Thanks,

AX
