flammingcowz #1 Posted July 2, 2008 (edited) I read in another thread that the 3 numbers on *melted?* in to the bottom of an atari is it's date code. Mine is 461, supposably the first 2 digits are how many weeks in to the year it was made, and the last digit is the year it was made in. If this is true, my 6'er was made around October/November 1981. I thought that the light 6 switchers were only made in 1978-1980 Edited July 2, 2008 by flammingcowz
Tom_Explodes #2 Posted July 2, 2008 Mine says 121, so I'm curious about this too.
Mirage #3 Posted July 2, 2008 I got my woody 6-switch brand new for Christmas 1981. They were selling pretty hot at that time, so I doubt it was some old inventory sitting around (but possible, who knows?), but I suspect there were still light-sixers being made in 1981 for some reason. ComputerSpaceFan #4 Posted July 2, 2008 I got my woody Heh heh heh, I must admit Heavy Sixer's have the same effect on me.

Mirage #6 Posted July 2, 2008 I got my woody Heh heh heh, I must admit Heavy Sixer's have the same effect on me. Yeah, I noticed that poor choice of phrasing after I clicked "add reply" but was too lazy to edit it.
Tom_Explodes #7 Posted July 3, 2008 If my girlfriend ever gives me a woodgrain sixer, rest assured that I'll be on here posting "My girlfriend gave me a woody"
