When I have someone to challenge (or have working paddles) it's Warlords. For one player action you can't dismiss Frankenstein's Monster.

My favorite Atari game is Yar's Revenge. My favorite game of ALL TIME is Sonic 1.

I may have to go with Tron Deadly Discs. Runners-up would be Pitfall II, Yars' Revenge, Laser Gates, Moonsweeper, Pengo, Ms. Pac-Man, Q*Bert, Cosmic Ark...and just about everything else.

For multiple players: Video Olympics (aka Pong Sports). Nothing beats Pong. But Joust is close behind.

Here is my top 5 for Atari 2600 games

 

1. Adventure (the greatest single game ever made for anything)

2. Pitfall (the best graphics of it's time and still the game I play the most on the 2600)

3. Kaboom ( a zen like experience, hard to dexcribe unless you play it)

4. Yar's Revenge (A masterpiece that belongs only to this concsole and the gameboy color)

5. Space Invaders (the variations make this even better than the original stand up machine)

My favorite 2600 game seems to be pretty fluid, depending on what I'm devoting my time to. Haunted House, Stampede, Superman, and Star Wars:ESB are perpetually amongst my top ten. I've recently developed a renewed obsession with James Bond 007.
