Also, I do prefer the Wii menu using the wii-mote as a pointer, it's about the only positive thing I can say about the Wii, they did a good job with the menu system

You're forgetting that the Wiimote also makes a pretty good TG-16 controller when you turn it sideways. As my Wii is basically a Turbo Grafx now (except when my wife plays it), that's important.

No. The other versions of FF1-FF6 came a decade after the fact, originally they were NES/SNES exclusives

True enough, but in modern times FF has been multiplatform. The single platform FF concept really died with the PS1/2.
