So what are the actual chances that the 7800 Skyfox proto will surface?

This was the one game from the screenshots on the back of the box, in catalogs, and on TV commercials that I desperately wanted. Do we know that it really even exists in some semi-playable format for the 7800?

I seem to remember someone saying they saw a simple demo (Tempest maybe) at one time. It probably didn't get beyond that and may not still exist. Still, you never know. We thought PLUTOS and SIRIUS were never going to arrive too and then Curt was a hero to the masses!

 

Atari, in the commercials, didn't always show 7800 versions of games. Check out the KARATEKA and IMPOSSIBLE MISSION. My gut says that SKY FOX was probably an existing computer port.

Yep it was a simple one screen demo that had some stuff moving, but I dont think it was playable. One of the DP guys found it on an old Atari HD. Think Pit Fighter in terms of completeness.
