Worldwide sales figures?

I did a little searching but didn't find what i was looking for. What were the overall worldwide sales figures for the 2600? 100 million units? 200 million?

Between 20-30 million more like (hardware only), though i wouldn't know what the split was between the various revisions (incl. 2600jr)

 

I think that sum total only includes the official atari 2600's/vcs's not the 3rd party versions like coleco/columbia house or sears

 

software wise i'd say betw.2-300 million carts (assuming that the ave person bought between 10-20 carts (in total)

 

(speaking as someone who didn't follow the early atari gaming systems)

I think that figure does include the Sears versions (which are not really 3rd-party -- they were made in the same factories that made the Atari versions, just given different finish.)
