i might just do that. ive been checking ebay for the past 2 months and the only one ive seen boxed is in a store for something like $149 (i dont expect to get that much)

 

also what is this adaptor used for? since the only thing missing from this box is the system manual and it doesnt mention it on the box anywhere im not sure what its used for exactly

The adapter lets you hook two of the hybrid controllers to one port for playing paddle games since original Atari paddles came in pairs. It also makes the joystick fire button act like the paddle button.

i think it looks like oil of some kind, like maybe it was sitting in a garage for awhile
