Bobby is going home - Anyone know anything about this

Recommended Posts

Is it rare. Worth anything? Found one locally wondering if I should pick it up. Not much info on AtariAge.

Exactly which version did you find?

This is the original version:

It's unfortunately part of a Craigslist lot the guy wants $200 for the system and like 20 games, this being one of them. I just saw the title listed but no photo. I am thinking $200 is way to much for this one cartridge :) But, maybe I will try and see if he will sell it seperatly

What's the story with this game. So many variations and supposedly a good game. Why wasn't it ever a main stream title?

I've only played this through emulation and am too lazy to go check right now, but isn't this that odd game with the guy in the pointy hat jumping over stuff while "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" plays, quite a bit out of key, in the background?

That was a strange game. If not just a little bit creepy... somehow. And you say this was supposed to be a kids' game? :ponder:

Found another NTSC Bobby recently.

I'll be damned.

Never thought I would see a nephew of this one:

Excellent.

Thanks, CPUWIZ.

BTW: is it RealSports or Activision's boxing?

Yes, that's the Supergame label version:

Interesting. What I find curious is that the CCE rom was obviously utilized because CCE is prominently displayed in the lower part of the screen during play and not Supergame, in the upper portion, like in the screen shot you have for Demon Attack.

I guess they didn't bother changing the pirated game that they were pirating. :D

Unless he's got a crapload of rares, do NOT pay 200 bucks for a 2600 and 20 games. It's likely going to be ALL commons, and they are worth about a buck a piece, and the system is worth 40 bucks (working) MAX (unless it's a heavy sixer, but he likely has no friggin' clue what that is). So, that being said, about 60 or so bucks is what that lot is likely worth.
