Talking about consoles here leads to nice find!

Recommended Posts

After discussing various consoles here on the forum I wanted to drop by Radio Shack and get some contact cleaner and an air can to spruce up one of my dusty Stellas today.

The shack is in the same strip mall as a Goodwill that has never yielded anything but Sega genesis controllers , combat and pac-man carts as well as Nintendo power supplies( for about 2 years).

Well I walk in look around nothing as usual and as I start to leave I notice familiar Intellivision boxes next to the records and books.....wow 38 in all! whoever's collection this was they kept it very nice, all overlays, instructions , boxes the works(of course the goodwill clerks screwed up some of the boxes with the price in black marker). I got them all ranging in price from $2-$3. About half of them I did not have....including a practically mint Turbo(with no scars!)! a $40 game according to DP.

here are some pics of a few of them

Wow! Nice score. I hate when they write on the boxes. At a thrift near me, they not only write on the box but seal it with packing tape that they wrap around the box several times.

Another thing I found funny was the fact that the Treaures of Tarmin game was still sealed in it's original plastic wrap, it was marked down with price stickers from Kaybee stores from 29.99 to .99....yet Goodwill apparently marked it back up $3 fifteen years later :-)
