NINOCARDO #1 Posted August 15, 2008 Never saw one like this before. C010472 Reads ATARI INC. SUNNYVALE, CA. U.S.A. Assembled in Mexico. Same 9V 500ma as all the other 2600 power supplies, just looks different. Rare?
Rik #2 Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) Perhaps its the power supply that came with the Heavy-6?It may be rare, but not in $,more in nostalgiac value,i guess. Edited August 15, 2008 by Rik
the 5th ghost #3 Posted August 15, 2008 That's an original Pong power supply, not for the heavy sixer. Cool adapter, uncommon, but not super rare.
A.J. Franzman #4 Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) I'm not sure about that, I've had a Heavy Sixer with that adapter before. It's one of at least 4 different styles reported as coming with H6ers (two of the others are gray and hard to tell apart, and the 4th is another black style with a unique shape). the 5th ghost #5 Posted August 16, 2008 Yeah, now that I look closer, I see that it would work for a 2600. I just looked at the 8W and knew that was the same as my Pong adapters, while I have 2600 adapters that read 9W and above.
Atariman #6 Posted August 16, 2008 Hmm... I don't think I've seen that kind before, but I know my heavy sixer came with one of the grey ones. I'd say it probably isn't too incredibly rare, but an interesting find either way!
fiddlepaddle #7 Posted August 16, 2008 I have one like that in a box that says "Power Adaptor for Video Pinball, also for Video Computer System, Stunt Cycle, Tank II" It came with a "Factory Reconditioned" VCS.
