Just plugged in the 7800 for the first time!

I know this is the 2600 forum but my heart belongs to stella!

 

...I had never plugged one in before today. I finally got around to trying it and , it was cool. The joysticks blow big time...I played one on one (the Dr and Bird)and Xevious...luckily I had an Atari gamepad(where these made for the 7800?).

This console is cool ...I guess if it would of been released in late 84 it had a real good chance of succeeding .

Apparently the gamepads were packed in with the 7800 in Europe. Both they and the Proline joysticks that came with North American 7800s can be used with 2600 joystick-compatible games, whether on a 7800 or an actual 2600 or compatible system.

 

Welcome to the 7800...truly a “best of both worlds” console!
