DjayBee #26 Posted December 14, 2008 (edited) Hi Chrodegang, We also need complete manual scans of the OSS stuff! Just mail me your scans and I will post-process and upload them. Of course you will be mentioned in the utility/game entry as contributor! Make sure you scan at least with 150dpi and save as jpg file with compression quality not less than 80%. I have some German manuals (Atari Schreiber, Print Shop) and other stuff which are not yet in the database. Everything is already scanned at 400dpi. Are you interested in postprocessing and making them available? Main problem with the Atari Schreiber is that it is black ink on red paper. See the attached example. PM me if you are interested. charliecron #27 Posted December 16, 2008 Interested in a tape dump of Necromancer? Got a good dump last night, your site says tape image is missing. This was done with Urchlay's linux port of wav2cas. Great changing multi-color text loading screen!
charliecron #28 Posted December 19, 2008 Here is another tape dump, Target Practice by Gentry Software. Same as Shooting Arcade, different title screen (Just text). Marked missing at Atarimania. Not on your MIA list, but figured you may want it anyway. Charlie

deathtrappomegranate #30 Posted December 19, 2008 Just to let you know Atari Frog, the Mech Brigade Image on your website doesnt work, i tried it almost as soon as i downloaded the image, it stops loading after several sectors have been loaded That image does not work properly with emulators - there is a note to that effect on the page where you downloaded the game. charliecron #31 Posted December 19, 2008 Here is one more. Tape dump of Protector II. Marked missing on Atarimania. The same as disk I imagine, except the changing color 'Please Wait...' loading screen (which I think is pretty cool). OSB only. Might not be able to load this in an emulator, someone who tried could not, could be wrong on that though. No trouble on real hardware (I tested 1200xl with Translator). _The Doctor__ #41 Posted February 11, 2009 I for one enjoy the quality of the images and vapi at atarimania. while it takes longer to see something arrive. it usually works. Like when playing alleycat... some places have it but it always freezes on the dog bowl screen... the one I got from atarimania worked fine. While having the software that needs to be fixed or modified so it will be useable on hard drives or to correct the original programmers mistakes is required, the original version is always needed to work from, the baselines are absolutely needed. Always loved the project! _The Doctor__ Please note we are perfectly aware of everything released, it's just that we tend to add programs when we have time and sometimes very randomly. www.atarimania.com #44 Posted February 13, 2009 As I wrote above, everything will be added to the database sooner or later. That includes recent software titles and scans that either found their way here or were sent to us. Right now, we're mainly concentrating on the ultra rare stuff that hasn't been dumped yet because this has always been our top priority. Tempest #46 Posted February 13, 2009 I'm probably the only one, but I think that crossword program looks neat. You don't see much Atari software with an 1985 copyright. Tempest

Tempest #48 Posted February 14, 2009 Do you mean from Atari the company or just in general? There are 6 pages of titles for 1985 at AtariMania... ? I meant in general (at least here in the US). Atari corp. software form 1985 is almost nil, I can only think of 4 titles off the top of my head and all are educational. Tempest
deathtrappomegranate #49 Posted February 15, 2009 I'm probably the only one, but I think that crossword program looks neat. No, you're not the only one. I love this stuff. Before I had a busy job, I used to do crosswords every day. I'm constantly amazed and delighted with what people tried to do with computers in the 1980s.
