SNES Adapter to allow NTSC system to play PAL games

Does anyone know where I might purchase a converter to allow a US SNES system to play PAL format games?

Mostly overseas and through eBay. The only one known to do that is the AD-29 Universal Adaptor, which is commonly used for playing NTSC SNES games on PAL SNES systems.

 

Of course, you can also get a Retro Duo NES/SNES system, which also does the trick, though not with every PAL SNES game. The Smurfs game for SNES has advanced regional lockout so it can't be played on the Retro Duo.

or buy a PAL SNES, a PAL TV, and appropriate AC adapter(s)...

ya I did a mod about 4 years ago that was able to handle all the pal games except terranigma, it's pretty easy you just remove the lock out chip and run a single wire across 2 of the contacts from the lockout chip. I think most mod sites have the same or a similar mod posted as I deleted my files on it long ago when I sold off my SNES stuff.

Thanks for all the info guys. I have an FC Twin which plays both NES/SNES games but I don't believe it offers the same level of compatibility as the Retro Duo system. For me personally I think the Retro Duo is the way to go. I keep seeing certain SNES games I'd like to play that only seem to be available in PAL format.
