AtariKari #1 Posted August 27, 2002 In May of this year, I sent payment and my Atari 2600 to Tom @ http://juniescreations.netfirms.com/, with the understanding that he was producing 15-pin systems w/ composite video out. He and I have emailed sporatically since then, and now it seems I've lost a way to get in touch with him: I've gotten no response to either my emails to [email protected], or the PM I sent via AAge. Is there a better way to reach him? Tom seems legit, and this is likely a non-event. I know several ppl here have seen (and AAge has announced) several of his products, but it has been three months after paying for an item that was proported to be ready back then, and now I can't get in touch with the guy who has my $ and my system. Has anyone else recieved or bought a 15-pin VCS? If my backup system I've been using in the meantime had a good video signal I would be more patient, but now I'm starting to be worried... Thanks in advance,
AtariKari #2 Posted August 29, 2002 [bump] Tom is a scam artist. Do not buy anything from Junie's Creations. [ ]
Atari2600Lives #3 Posted August 29, 2002 Why the sudden change in opinion?....just curious......
mikeftrevino #4 Posted August 29, 2002 What's up? I was just thinking of purchasing a controller from him. it seems like he's got a decent bussiness there. it doen't seem to be worth the problem of making a web site with shopping cart for a few hundred dollars, if that's how much you spent. smf_4ever #5 Posted August 29, 2002 I have nothing but great experiances dealing with him... I am not sure what is going on.. but I have nothing but good things to say about him and his work.
D.Yancey #6 Posted August 29, 2002 Atari Kari: Why do you think he is a scam? I've ordered and paid for 3 controllers from him. I'm still waiting for them to arrive. He has done nothing to me yet to cause my doubt of his credibility. Please keep me apprised of your progress. And Tom, when my controllers arrive.... I will certainly make a post on your behalf. tbfinley2 #7 Posted August 29, 2002 Hey wait a second! There has got to be an oversight some where I have dealt with him before and he has allways been on the up and up. Don't be so quick to judge. In fact alot of people here has dealt with him and has been real pleased.
AtariKari #8 Posted August 29, 2002 Thanks for the replies. I was just trying to bump the article, b/c people should at the very least be aware that in my experience it is taking him a very long time to send products, and that there doesn't seem to be a way to get in touch with him. The [ ] meant to imply that I am confused as to whether or not it was the case that he is scamming people, literally or relatively. Apparently several of you have also given him $, but haven't gotten anything. When you offer a product for sale the understanding is that it is immediately available for purchase, unless stated. I think it is misleading to do otherwise. And Tom, when my controllers arrive.... I will certainly make a post on your behalf. So will I when I get my system, of course
D.Yancey #9 Posted October 8, 2002 As fate would have it: I'm STILL WAITING for my controllers! What's with this guy? Has anyone received anything from juniescreations since his fateful announcment of computer problems and money problems on this site. My order was prepaid! There should be no problem with money for it unless the cash was spent on something it was not intended to be used for!!!!!!!!!!
CPUWIZ #10 Posted October 8, 2002 I think he took on more "orders" than he can handle and has now seized to take anymore.
