yuppicide #1 Posted September 12, 2008 What MAME Front End are people using these days? I use Windows along with a normal monitor.. not arcade monitor. I like something easy to setup and nice graphics.
+remowilliams #2 Posted September 12, 2008 I use MameWAH. I wouldn't call it easy but the results are worth it.
VideoFever1982 #3 Posted September 12, 2008 I have a friend who uses Maximus Arcade for his frontend. I've used it myself in the past. Its good if you want something easy but as far as looks go, I'd use Mamewah if you can get it set up. I never figured it out but it looks great tho. http://www.maximusarcade.com/
yuppicide #4 Posted September 12, 2008 You know I did try MameWAH once or twice. I never got it to work. All I'd get was a black screen.
+remowilliams #5 Posted September 12, 2008 You know I did try MameWAH once or twice. I never got it to work. All I'd get was a black screen. Without Mamewah Config I never would have gotten MameWAH to work correctly the first time, I'll tell you that. Though Mamewah Config is no bed of roses either. I never got it to work no matter what i did. But it sure looked nice from the screen shots i've seen.
maximebeauvais #7 Posted September 13, 2008 I tried mamewah a few time. I got it work but I have have formatted my HD since and I<m not sure what to use. I will probably try mamewah again even if I know that it will take me 2 weeks to setup it correctly.
Hornpipe2 #8 Posted September 17, 2008 I use ArcadeOS but I run FreeDOS. There are better Windows frontends.
+remowilliams #9 Posted September 17, 2008 Ah Arcadeos, I used it for a long time back in the DOS days. Good stuff. Eventually got tired and made the customized super fast XP boot machine that I use now. Boots right into MameWAH, you never even see a hint of Windows.
