IndusGT field service manual

Recommended Posts

I have finally found my Indus GT field service manual.

I am only going to copy what I feel is relevant information.

Who want to know how to pull one apart?

I will do more of the manual over the coming days/months.

It doesn't have any wave forms of the WART (main) board. only a diagram of the major chips.

Any faults with the WART board, you are mostly on your own, but this first section I scanned should help somewhat.

To start with, here is the 2nd part of section 3.

The internal diagnoses level 1 and and how to invoke level 2.

In taking my indus apart to fix the front benzel, i pulled the wired for J7, J8 and J9 not realizing there are four prongs for each 2 prong connector and need help to get it reconnected properly.

Anyone know or how one apart to take a look?

Thanks

Ron

I found the answer. There is a schematic for the indus gt on: http://atariwiki.strotmann.de/xwiki/bin/vi...s+GT+Schematics.

J7, J8 and J9 are all switched on leads 3 and 4.

On my Indus , The plugs with wires are from front to rear, J9, J12, J11 with the printed numbers on top. Each one is a 4 pin socket. Not sure if that will help you.

James.

In case anyone is interested, I am OCR'ing these sections and making a word-doc that I will eventually be dumping out to a new, much more readable PDF. if I can get the whole field service manual, I will do the same for the rest of it.

here's the first part, the first 7 pages are currently blank, as I am hoping to fill them in from another scan sometime, or if I can find a copy of the field service manual I'll scan it myself.

I have done some cleanup and formatting of the text.

and here is chapter/section 4, please examine it and PM me with any errors in the document :)

I am not done reformatting it, and will eventually be combining the whole thing into one document file with TOC, etc.

I don't have it that I know of but definately want a copy of the program.

Check out :

http://ftp.pigwa.net...ford/index.html

And get the ATR. It can be booted from any drive (basic off).

Don't forget the internal diagnositcs that can be invoked with a shorting plug.

Will try and get some more of the manual scanned as time will allow.

Here is section 1

James

and here is the first run-through cleaned up version :)

please look through it (ye who download) and tell me if I have missed any misspellings. I am dyslexic and occasionally miss things. plus there were portions that the OCR software choked on and I had to re-type.

On page 6 there are a number of 'f's which have come out as '+'s and also some 'o's which look to be zeroes.

thank you, after looking at pages of text for long times, it gets too easy to miss things :) and MS word for mac does not flag words as incorrect if they have punctuation or non alpha-numeric characters in them.

Hi tregare

You shouldn't mix M$ and Mac. :-D

Why not try NeoOffice? It's free and it's not M$.

greetings

Mathy
