Figures this bares repeating,

Thanks for taking to time to scan these. I, and many others

im sure appreciate it.. Moreso when their Indus breaks down..

sup8pdct is scanning :) I'm cleaning them up and making a prettiful manual out of them :)

and I am VERY grateful that he is scanning them! one of the things I want to do down the road is clean up the couple different service manuals I have for the 1050 and give them the same treatment, there is no reason that the service manuals that exist for the atari to be photocopies of something blasted out on a dot matrix printer :) not that dot matrix doesn't have it's charm, but as i get older :| , I become more and more a HUGE fan of readable text :D .

Check out :

http://ftp.pigwa.net...ford/index.html

And get the ATR. It can be booted from any drive (basic off).

Don't forget the internal diagnositcs that can be invoked with a shorting plug.

Will try and get some more of the manual scanned as time will allow.

the gtdoc.com isn't on that disk, there is a gt program file but it only has an RPM test in it :(

Boot the disk with OPTION, Microsoft Basic should load. Then type RUN "D:DIAGS". The utility is a little bit different than described in the manual but performs the similar functions.

Section 5. the final one.....

This completes the scan of the field service manual.

The Schematics that came with the manual, I scanned and uploaded some 15 odd years ago and are on the net in several places.

Last 2 pages of section 6.

Not much in way of info but makes manual complete.

James

can you scan the parts list (section 8 ) I haven't found that anywhere yet.

I also have a 3-page hand drawn schematic that is somewhat low-res , it is in GIF format I believe, is that the one you scanned a while ago?

Ahhmmmm. There is no section 8.

Yes, They would be the ones. The orignal papersize is somewhere between A3 and A4

Ok, just so Y'all know, I haven't forgotten, here is a 7-zip segmented archive of the manual, there is still some editing and clean-up to do as well as adding some info that I think should be in there :)

sigh, the forum doesn't like the 7z extension :( so they are named ".zip" please delete the .zip from both file names and expand the archive with your machines flavor of 7zip.

please download and look through, and let me know of missed corrections, etc :)

It's telling me "incorrect password". Is there really a password on it, or is it the software I'm using (Ez7Z for Mac)?

I just tried 7zX for Mac also. Neither one works on this, and I can't find any other 7z unarchivers for Mac that aren't dead links.

If anyone knows of an app that will unarchive this on a Mac, please let me know, or better yet, upload in a different format? Thanks! Looking forward to seeing this.

I get the exact same thing as last time. You're on a Mac? Don't you have StuffIt? That should work fine. I've never even heard of these programs you're trying to use! :)

OR, better yet, this is a PDF, right? Just split it into multiple PDF's and don't bother zipping it at all. They can easily be re-combined. Or ask Al to increase the max file size for this? All you'd need would be 3mb.
