Sega Master System Disk Drive!?!

I was browsing through the photo site FLICKER and decided to input Sega Master System and this came up:

It appears to be a disk drive of some sort ofr the master system looks very cool too bad it never made it out

Wow, cool. Never even heard of such a thing.

 

Hmmm...wonder if that might not be one of those pirating devices that lets you dump the game rom to a floppy. It does have the Master System brownish red sticker on the front, but the companies that make those pirate devices have been known to do crazy stuff like that.

Interesting... I wasn't aware of this unreleased add-on, either!

It was probably a carry over from the SC-3000 computer. The SMS design came from the SG-1000 and SC-3000 computers.
