NTSC 2600,PAL TV,B&W :(

Hi,

one friend of minw send me a 2600 vinyl 4 switch from USA (I live in Greece PAL)

I switched the console on and connected the RF but the display is black & white.

My TV is a 4:3 CRT Sony ~8 years old

 

Is anything I can do?

Check if your TV can accept a composite or s-video AV signal. If you can then it is possible to do a video mod either a homebrew one or purchase one from 8bitdomain (but you will wait a long time)

Another alternative is an NTSC capture card and a PC.

Some people also get away with input through a Video recorder that has an NTSC+PAL tuner, then output that signal to the TV.

I never found a VCR that could do that though

Unfortunately the VCR trick did not work...agrrr
