+5-11under #1 Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) Hi everyone, This is a little teaser picture of a prototype PCB I just received... either to build up some hype... or in the least to have some fun on a Friday afternoon, to see if people can deduce or guess what it is. I should've checked my layout for glaring mistakes before getting it made, but oh well, that's why I only got 2 made, I guess. With some pain, though, they should still be good enough for testing. More information and/or clues to follow below... . Thanks, 5-11under Edited October 6, 2008 by 5-11under
Tempest #2 Posted September 26, 2008 Looks like the underside of something that plugs into controller ports. I have a 5200 port tester that looks like that. I'm sure that's not what it is though... Tempest
Wickeycolumbus #3 Posted September 26, 2008 At first I thought it was an Odyssey Homebrew, but then I blew up the pic and it looks like it is probably not. Give us more clues!
+Random Terrain #4 Posted September 26, 2008 I know exactly what that is. Scientists have been working on it for years. It's a stick of gum that never loses its flavor. Advanced electronics recycle the flavor from the saliva in your mouth back into the gum. It's an amazing breakthrough.
joeybastard #5 Posted September 26, 2008 A premade board for converting a NES pad to the 7800 or a NES pad to the CV?
nathanallan #6 Posted September 26, 2008 something 5200, I say. maybe the inside of a homebrew controller. Pins to attach the cable to, points for two buttons and a keypad. Doubt creeps in, there're no obvious directional contacts.
RickO2 #7 Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) A premade board for converting a NES pad to the 7800 or a NES pad to the CV? That would be my guess as well; But I know very little about electronics. The shape looks like a typical NES pad but the location of the contacts doesn't look right to me... It appears to have 12 outputs (I'm sure that's not the proper technical term but you know what I mean). Edited September 26, 2008 by RickO2
Crazy Climber #8 Posted September 26, 2008 It's a PCB for a wireless 5200 controller
Uzumaki #9 Posted September 26, 2008 On top there are 2 spots for DPDT switches, and a pad for a SMD IC but no idea for sure.

+5-11under #15 Posted October 4, 2008 any more clue's? Yeah, I could do that. I ran into some issues, and went back to this version for a while: Thanks, 5-11under
+Random Terrain #16 Posted October 4, 2008 OK, I know what that is. It's the inside of a LITE-BRITE, except this one has the voice of KITT from Knight Rider. (The good William Daniels voice, not the crappy new voice.)
Rik #17 Posted October 4, 2008 Since your avatar is flashing a ColecoVison cart,i figure its probably ColecoVision related.

doubledown #23 Posted October 6, 2008 Well the top left portion looks like some PCB mount phono jacks possibly as direct mount to the PCB pictured earlier in this thread. The bottom right looks like the CV On/Off switch.
