I decided to look through all the old Spider-Man comics from the 70's and 80's that I had in my possession. I remembered all the old ads there was, so I decided to check out the back of a few of the books. I was stunned when i saw tons of Atari 2600 and Intellivision ads there were. There was an Atari ad on every other comic I went through, including an Intellivision ad on the flip side. Some of the games were: Burger Time, Q*Bert!, and numerous different Star Wars titles...Sure did bring back the memories!

haha, yeah. It's really cool to see what they did to sell their products back then, compared to what they do now.

Advertising for INTV,Atari,ColecoVision, consoles and games was phenomenol back in those days.I've never seen anything marketed as aggressively as those, even to THIS day.

I have a Superman comic that Radio Shack gave away (or sold) that is basically a big ad for the TRS-80 computer. The last page even has Superman typing into a computer to save the day.

I also like the Atari Mario Bros. ad on the inside cover of a Buckaroo Banzai comic I have.
