What other game systems/carts do you collect?

Recommended Posts

I was just curious if anyone else on here collected other consoles as well? I have a NES with 130 games (all with manuals and boxes), a SNES with 50 games (about half have boxes and manuals), 2 N64's with 20 games (boxes and manuals), a TI/994A computer with 10 cartridges, 2 Atari 2600's with 117 carts (about half with boxes and manuals), an Atari 7800 with 4 7800 games with boxes and manuals (I just got the 7800), 2 Playstations with 55 games (cd's with cases and instructions), an Apple IIc with a bunch of bootleg games, a 120 Gateway P5 with 20 or so cd's (Warcraft II, Starcraft, etc.), a Gameboy with 15 cartridges (manuals and boxes), Gameboy Advanced with a whopping ONE games so far (they are still so pricey), and last but not least a Sega Genesis with 25 cartridges and boxes/instructions. I collect for all of my game consoles (NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Playstation, 2600, 7800). However, I collect for my 2600 the hardest (I am most proud of my 2600 collection). All of these but the 7800 I bought when they first hit the market (I am 30 years old).

I am curious about the Intellivision system. I wanted one back in the day but I didn't have the cash to support it and my 2600. I am bidding on one on Ebay, along with the game Dracula (thanks for the info NE146.) I have always wanted that game for some reason even though I have never even played it.

I need to pick up a 5200, a ColecoVision, and a 3DO and start those collections as well. So little money, so many games.

Well, I was just curious. I am sure that you guys have talked about this before, but I am a new guy here, so have patience.

Wow, that is sure a cool chart you have there. Obviously, you enjoy the Intellivision system as well. Can you recommend any "must-have" carts for it?

You can get the proggy used to create this chart (Cartware) from Brien King's website (http://www.arcaderestoration.com/index.asp?OPT=3&CBT=20).

As for MUST have Inty games... hmmm, toughie... I would have to say

Night Stalker

TRON (Maze-A-Tron, Solar Sailor, & Deadly Discs)

Lock-n-Chase

Diner

AD&D (both)

Burgertime

Just a few of my favorites. :)

Atari 2600, Atari 8-bit, Commodore 64, ColecoVision, Jaguar, Bally Astrocade and PSX/PS2.

I have a huge TurboGrafx and 5200 collection, but I had to leave that stuff in my grandmother's basement in Buffalo when I moved the hell out of that town, since I didn't have enough van-room for everything.

The 2600's still my favorite, hands-down. A possible runner-up would be the PSX, but only because of the arcade emulations available for it, as well as a handful of incredible FPSs.

I have an NES, and the one, solitary, lone game that I think is worth playing on it: SMB3.

Thanks for the information. I certainly will be on the lookout for those titles on Ebay and around town in the usual thrift stores. Thanks for the link too.

I am curious about the Intellivision system.

I have a sealed Intellivision Night Stalker game that came in a box of Atari stuff I bought a while back. If you want it, email me your address and I'll drop it in the mail next week.

I'm pretty modest in terms of what I collect at the moment. Aside from an ever growing collection of PC games, I collect for the 2600, Atari 8-bit computers, and the Odyssey 2. I am considering purchasing a couple of other consoles in the near future, but I'm having to be cautious...in my little one-bedroom apartment, space is a big consideration. :)

I currently have excactly zero systems. I am however currently in negotiations for the following bundles:

- Atari 2600 lot

Includes a 6-switch woodgrain, 4-switch vader, and Jr model, 3 sets of paddle controllers, about 6 joysticks, keyboard controller, connections, and about 60 games, some of which rate 4-6 on the rarity list for $85 Cdn.

- Sega Saturn lot. black Saturn model with import modchip, two controllers, and 8 games for $80 Cdn.

- NES lot. Includes control deck, 2 controllers, 6 games for $30 Cdn.

- Dragon 32. Includes 3 carts and 3 tapes, but no tape drive, for $8 Cdn.

- Sega GameGear with 3 games for $30 Cdn.

Hopefully I'll have all this stuff in my grubby little hands by next month so I can spend October even more reclusive than I normally am. ;-)

Before you spend too much time and possibly too much money on e-bay, check out the folks at 4Jays.  I have purchased several systems from these guys and I have no complaints.

http://www.4jays.com

They're a bit pricey on the systems though heh...

Having said that, I've gotten a couple of C64 carts from them than I've not seen ANYWHERE else ever. So that's something to be grateful for!
