Mayhem #2 Posted October 5, 2008 All that applies to me apart from the coding side sadly. But I'd be quite happy to playtest if need be, CC2 and both PAL and NTSC 7800s in the armoury And yes, I thoroughly look forward to this sort of game on the 7800! Gorf #7 Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) Oh GOD! I only do Pixel work or box art but, I would love you 4-ever if I could play test my ALL Time favorite game Type "Gorf"! And put me down on a preorder for copy or two....thats how much I trust your game! I should not have mentioned Gorf... ...to be clear, it will have gameplay elements of Gorf but it wont look at all like gorf...It will be more like a phoenix, demon attack with a few references to classic games like gorf...but not Gorf....I suppose I should be careful so my 'friends' at Midway do not suspect any funny business from me. EDIT: As far as test/preorders.....let me get the thing useful first. Right now it ain't much. Me being a novice on the 7800, it will be some time before anything is play-test useful. Also release or cart sales is the last thing im concerned about right at this moment. My biggest need is one of the expert 7800 coders to help me out when I run into trouble. Atarifever #11 Posted October 6, 2008 And now it's official: the 7800 rocks harder in retirement than during it's supported life.
Gorf #12 Posted October 6, 2008 (edited) And now it's official: the 7800 rocks harder in retirement than during it's supported life. I like to think of ANY Atari console as not retired but on a long vacation. (well at least with the pace we developers tend to work you'd think so.) We're just calling back to work from that vacation. Edited October 6, 2008 by Gorf

Gorf #15 Posted October 7, 2008 and I am more than willing to help in any way I can.sorry for the split post typing on a psp Thanks and no problem on the PSP. Again, a knowledgable coder is the big need. Im getting familiar but would really like someone who really knows how to make his way around the 7800 hardware. Wow, that looks really great! I have always had a soft spot in my heart for "Phoenix" and loved "Demon Attack" on the 2600 so I can't imagine a cooler game to make!! Only thing the screen shot is missing is a scrolling star field background! Good job and good luck with your project! AdeptRapier
