Brad2600 #1 Posted October 6, 2008 I purchased a 360 a little over a week ago. I got the arcade version and before you even think about scolding me for it, it's a good start to owning a 360 and I'm certain that I'll want to upgrade down the road. Love GTAIV. I actually enjoy the missions in this game. I didn't like GTA:SA because of the RPG and other elements that made it too complicated. Can anyone recommend a good FPS? I see so many out there now (Bad Co., Call of Duty, etc) that I don't know where to start. I'm looking for something similar to Medal of Honor.

Seems like everything, down to every tree in the forest is it's own element that can be destroyed. Very cool.

Atari5200 #4 Posted October 6, 2008 (edited) congrats on your purchase. For FPS's I bought COD 3 and did a review. I'm also in the process of putting an audio review of COD 3 on my web site, see my sig. It should be up in about an hour. If your die hard, maybe you'll like it, it's cheap, so that's another plus, anyway, check my review out. For Non war FPS, I have to recommend The Darkness, also reviewed on my web site. Rainbow Six Vegas was pretty awesome too. Edited October 6, 2008 by Atari5200

moycon #7 Posted October 7, 2008 Suprised no one has mentioned Bioshock If you want a decent and super cheap FPS, I suggest giving Prey or Quake 4 a try. Both have decent single player gameplay as well as great online support. (If you have people to play with that is)
Brad2600 #8 Posted October 7, 2008 Thanks for the recommendations. I will probably look at reviews of the games in question before I decide on what to rent.
nonner242 #9 Posted October 7, 2008 Call of Duty 4 ROCKS! Multiplayer is GREAT! Bioshock is the best single player only FPS out there!
Lord Helmet #10 Posted October 7, 2008 You need COD 2 and 3 for sure. Also...if you like the GTA style games you MUST get Crackdown. All three of these can be had really cheap.
NE146 #11 Posted October 7, 2008 Geezus H forget about COD2 & ESPECIALLY cod3 at this point. Pretty much the only FPS that matters on the 360 is Call of Duty 4 and don't let anyone tell you otherwise Other than that go for Bioshock I guess.
moycon #12 Posted October 7, 2008 you MUST get Crackdown. Amen
Atari5200 #13 Posted October 7, 2008 not sure how I forgot about Bioshock, but yes, buy it right away. I cannot give COD 3 a favorable mark, listen to my review, but the jist of it is basically it's too boring.
