I don't think you can. The seller is simply trying to make up his money on the other end of the deal i see that alot on the 'Bay. Sadly many people get sucked in by that kind of underhanded nonsense.

Had he been reasonable with the shipping he probably would have gotten bids, sold his items and made money. Instead he tried being a scumbag, and got stuck paying the check.

eBay ought to disclose how much "handling" the seller is padding the shipping with in the calculator.

 

Although I suppose then these sellers wouldn't use the calculator at all and they'd all switch to "flat" rates with just as much if not more padding...

Flat rates are now suppose to include a $4 rate for video game media. Not sure how you are suppose to mail boxed games if you get over the 13oz limit, maybe media mail and let the buyer deal with the problems from USPS.
