fiddlepaddle #5 Posted October 10, 2008 what is the best place (US state) to find prototypes, or rate gaming stuff. even just misc. 1970-1980's stuff? thats where I'm gonna take my first road trip Probably in the individual developers garages, attics, and basements. Or other collectors. And maybe a landfill or two in New Mexico. Best state? Probably California.

Tempest #8 Posted October 10, 2008 As previously mentioned the best places to find stuff are: 1. Near where a company was headquartered. This tends to be mostly in CA, but some companies were on the east coast as well. 2. Near where game developers live or once lived. Once again this tends to be mostly in CA. 3. My basement. Good luck getting in there... Your best bet is to find an ex-programmer selling their stuff off at a flea market or through craigslist. Of course you might get lucky and find stuff in thrift stores as well. Tempest
